Lee Khai Loon: Sorry is the hardest word

The people who voted for this guy must be so proud. What more could the people of Machang Bubok (wherever that is) want? I'm glad that the people there have finally got a leader that truly reflects their own kind.

Firstly, if you don't want to apologise, just say it outright. Don't have to beat around the bush with stupid excuses. Even a kid would tell you that what you did was a direct insult to the PM. Just admit that you meant to insult the PM and do not have any regret for your actions. Be a man.

Secondly, please don't make it sound like you did it for the people's benefit and all Malaysians should be thankful for your generous act. What would the people get from you mocking the Prime Minister? A few laughs?

Perhaps you think it is Najib who should apologise to you?

Besides, the person who "advised" you to do so was only trying to cover his own hide. Why do you need to take his words so seriously?

And that Reezal guy from UMNO also distanced himself from the offending banner with the threatening words, claiming that he was unaware of it.

Do you people really expect politicians to take responsibility for their actions? And this is only a 'minor' skirmish mind you... imagine if things really gets out of hand, do you seriously think these kind of people will be man enough to own up or stand up to defend you?

Wise up people... in the real world, it's every man for himself.

No apology for kangkung flash mob, says Machang Bubok rep

PETALING JAYA: Machang Bubok assemblyman Lee Khai Loon has “thanked” DAP leader Lim Kit Siang for advising him to apologise for organising a “Kangkung flash mob” but said that he would not bow down to what he termed "Umno’s racist and violent actions."

In a statement, Lee said that the most important thing was to continue the movement to protest the issue of rising costs of living, taxes and GST so that the government heard the people’s voice......
..... “The Kangkung flash mob was symbolic and was organised so that the Prime Minister would be more concerned with the people’s suffering. It wasn’t meant to insult anyone. The flash mob was a response to the issue of the rising cost of living. Because of this, I will not bow down to racist statements and violence from Umno,” said Lee. - Read More

Kit Siang wants Khai Loon "to consider" apologising over kangkung flash mob

PETALING JAYA: DAP leader Lim Kit Siang wants Machang Bubuk assemblyman Lee Khai Loon to consider apologising for the flash mob over the kangkung issue.

In a statement on Tuesday, Lim said Lee should consider the apology "especially as there are those who regard such protest as excessive, offensive and insensitive (and I am one of them)."

"An even more important consideration is not to allow irresponsible quarters to look for excuses to distort and manipulate incidents to incite and inflame emotions which could escalate racial and religious hatred, conflict and tension in their ultimate objective to create another May 13 in the country," he said. - Read More
